Pastille Side Table

The name Pastille comes from the bulbous round shape of the table top, which feels like a smooth, round tablet. In designing the table, inspiration came from creating a balance between slim and robust shapes. The juxtaposition of elegant, slim metal and solid wooden tops creates an exciting contrast – craftsmanship and materials coming together. Much of Fogia’s extensive woodworking expertise is built into the table.

TAF Architecture

AF architectural and design office was founded by Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias Ståhlbom after they both expired Konstfack, MFA 2002.

Since then, the studio has gained both Swedish and international attention and success with projects in the interior design and exhibition architecture as well as a number of different products for various reputable furniture manufacturers.

TAF has exhibited at MoMa and has items in the permanent collections at the National Museum in Stockholm, the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg and the Danish Design Museum in Copenhagen. In 2017, Gabriella and Mattias were awarded the award Designer of the Form of the Form Form.

The use and questioning of references is something that is constantly relevant in TAF's work process. The background and inspiration for most of the results of the study comes from a completely different and often unexpected context. A candy dish becomes a table, a rope becomes a rug and a cape chong becomes an armchair etc.
