One half of the Lassen brothers, Mogens Lassen was a pioneer of Danish functionalism. His love for bold architecture and geometric shapes was inspired by the design school Bauhaus and can be seen through his signature designs such as the Kubus Candleholder.
Born into a family that celebrated and supported the arts, Mogens was an artist and architect, sketching and designing throughout his life. Today his designs are renewed with by Lassen, which was established by third and fourth generations of the Lassen family. Mogens’ designs are celebrated as modernist works of art and some of his design icons include the Twin Table, Frame Series and ML42 Stool.
