Designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen in 1936 for the foyer of the Royal Danish Academy of Music, the Radiohus Sofa is a significant example of Danish functionalism and modernism. Its long, slender frame, curved lines and open construction gave the design a distinctly progressive expression when it was first created.
Beautiful from all angles, the sofa features an elegant timber frame supporting an upholstered seat and back shaped to cradle the body. Neat rows of buttons across the backrest emphasise the precision of the design, while its generous scale gives the piece a sculptural presence within a room.
The Radiohus Sofa is available in two original versions: P2 and P3, with two and three sets of legs respectively. A wide range of upholstery options is available.
