Atticus Timber Leg Lounge

Atticus Lounge takes the organic, wing-like form of the Atticus family into a more generous easy chair. Inspired by the rounded wings of the North American mockingbird, the softly curved shell wraps around the sitter to create a relaxed and inviting sense of enclosure.

Available in low- and high-back versions, Atticus Lounge can be specified with a swivel, timber or sled base, allowing the chair to move easily between residential, hospitality, workplace and breakout settings. The low-back version has a more open, informal expression, while the high-back offers greater visual presence and a more enveloping feel.

Atticus Lounge can be upholstered in an extensive selection of fabrics, leather and artificial leather from leading suppliers. Customer-specified upholstery can also be accommodated without a start-up charge for non-standard materials.

Materials

Fully upholstered shell with a moulded polyether seat frame, FSC-certified timber and finished or lacquered metal components. Timber-base versions are available in oak, white-stained oak or black-stained oak.

Metal colours and finishes

Steel frames and metal details are available in 405 finishes as standard: 195 solid RAL colours with a gloss finish, 195 Structure RAL colours with a matte, lightly textured finish, and 15 pearl RAL finishes. Polished aluminium is available on the 03 swivel base and chrome on selected metal bases.

Fire classification

Atticus meets Möbelfakta fire requirements. Polyether foam is tested to CAL TB 117 and standard upholstery fabrics meet EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2. Additional classifications, including BS 5856 Crib 5, are available on request.

Erin has designed the Atticus Collection for Johanson. The chairs in the Atticus collection have an organic shape, inspired by nature and intended for comfort.
