Frankie Stools

Emphasizing the back of their chair, Frankie, the design focuses on the straps of the braces, imbuing this piece of furniture with a distinct human-like identity.

Frankie is tailored for office and commercial environments. This stackable chair features an upholstered seat and a sprung back, ensuring a high level of comfort ideal for meetings and conferences. Designed with a keen eye for fashion trends, the design duo Färg and Blanche drew inspiration from trouser braces for this series.

"The concept for the bar stool emerged during our exploration of how to evolve the Frankie chair. We incorporated aesthetic elements from its back and details such as tubing joints. The resulting shape resembles two straps cradling and securing the seat, forming distinct folds and softening its appearance. The seat also mirrors the characteristic curved shape of Frankie's back, with inward-folding edges," explains Fredrik Färg.”

The Frankie family is made up of dining chairs, a lounge chair and a series of stools.

The seat is made of wood and polyether. Foam which meets the highest fire classification CMHR- Combustion Modified High Resilience, is available for all models on request. The base is made of finished/ lacquered metal. 

All steel parts are recyclable. Before we finish the chrome/lacquer all grease/oil is removed by alkaline wash and then sent for destruction. The lacquering is produced by electrostatic epoxy powder coating that gives a minimum of waste. The electrostatic chrome (chrome 3) is recyclable. The plastic parts that are used are recyclable by grinding. All upholstery and frames of synthetic material are totally without C.F.C. emissions. All glue is water based.
