Grace

Grace draws inspiration from the elegance of Art Deco and the functional clarity of Bauhaus, reinterpreting references from the early 20th century for contemporary interiors. Designed by Alexander Lervik, the chair combines a slender metal frame with a softly upholstered seat and distinctive vertically detailed backrest, creating a refined dining and meeting chair with a strong graphic character.

The design process began with hand-drawn sketches before Lervik used AI to explore the initial three-dimensional forms, which were then manually refined to balance form, comfort and function. The name Grace references Grace Kelly, while its companion design Garbo takes its name from Greta Garbo.

Grace can be upholstered in an extensive selection of fabrics, leather and artificial leather from leading suppliers. Customer-specified upholstery can also be accommodated without a start-up charge for non-standard materials.

FSC-certified timber with polyether foam padding and a finished or lacquered metal frame. The steel components contain 20–50% recycled Swedish steel.

Steel frames and metal details are available in 405 finishes as standard: 195 solid RAL colours with a gloss finish, 195 Structure RAL colours with a matte, lightly textured finish, and 15 pearl RAL finishes.

Grace is designed to be separable, supporting repair and recycling over the life of the chair. All steel components are recyclable, plastic components can be recycled by grinding, and adhesives are water based.

Grace meets Möbelfakta fire requirements. Polyether foam is tested to CAL TB 117 and standard upholstery fabrics meet EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2. Additional classifications, including BS 5856 Crib 5, are available on request.

Alexander Lervik

Alexander Lervik is one of Swedens most well known designers, collaborating with a number of national and international producers, including Moroso, Zero, Designhouse Stockholm and Johanson. Though his main focus is lighting, furniture and product design, he also creates concepts for hotel and restaurant interiors and collaborate with fashion brands.

 

Throughout the years, Lervik has received a number of awards, amongst them Red Dot award, Best of The Best at 100% design, +1 Best in show at Stockholm Furniture fair, Utmärkt Svensk Form and the prestigious award Design S. he is represented at Nasjonalmuseum in Oslo, Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and the design museum Rhösska in Gothenburg, Sweden.
