Plateau Sofa

Plateau is a family of sofas, armchairs and seating islands defined by clean lines, generous upholstered forms and an asymmetric, terrace-like structure. The varying levels of seat, backrest and armrest create a strong graphic expression while the slender metal frame gives the furniture an almost floating appearance.

Designed to work individually or grouped together, Plateau is suited to workplace, reception, hospitality and residential interiors. Armrests can be positioned on either the left or right, omitted entirely, or replaced with an integrated side table to create a useful surface for a laptop, coffee or personal belongings.

The Plateau Armchair creates a more enclosed interpretation of the collection, with generous upholstered elements contained within the same slender architectural frame.

Plateau 1-seater

The compact 1-seater combines the generous proportions of the Plateau collection with a single-seat footprint. Available with an armrest or integrated table positioned on either the left or right.

Plateau 2-seater

The 2-seater extends the asymmetric Plateau form into a generous sofa suitable for waiting areas, informal meeting zones, hospitality and residential interiors.

Available with an armrest or integrated table on either the left or right.

 

Plateau 3-seater

The 3-seater offers the most generous linear sofa configuration in the collection while retaining Plateau’s light metal structure and distinctive offset backrest.

material

The seat structure is made from FSC-certified timber with polyether foam padding. The supporting base and frame are finished or lacquered metal.

Plateau is designed so its components can be separated, helping facilitate repair, replacement and recycling over the life of the product. Steel components are recyclable, synthetic upholstery and frame materials are produced without CFC emissions, and adhesives are water based.

Metal colours and finishes

Steel frames and metal details are available in 405 standard RAL finishes:

195 solid RAL colours with a gloss finish
195 Structure RAL colours with a matte, lightly textured finish
15 pearl RAL finishes

Chrome is also available.

The extensive finish selection allows the frame to be specified tone-on-tone with the upholstery or used as a contrasting graphic element.

Integrated table

Plateau can be specified with an integrated side table in place of an armrest. The table has softly rounded corners and is available in:

Oak veneer
Black-stained oak veneer
White-stained oak veneer

The table can be positioned on either the left or right side.

Power and charging options

Plateau can also incorporate power and charging accessories, making it particularly useful in workplace, reception and shared environments.

Single and double Powerdot mounting brackets are available in black or white. Multiple Powerdots can also be connected in series using a single connection cable.

Fire classification

Plateau meets Möbelfakta fire requirements. Polyether foam is tested to CAL TB 117 and standard upholstery fabrics meet EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2. Additional classifications, including BS 5856 Crib 5, are available on request.
