Explore the exquisite Paddington Residence, showcased in this month's Belle Magazine, designed by Alena Smith Interior Design. A standout feature is the iconic Arkade chair designed in 1983 by Nanna Ditzel & ARV lounge chair, a creation of David Thulstrup for the esteemed Danish brand Brdr Kruger.
Both crafted in certified solid fumed oak, the ARV chair exudes elegance with its hand-polished finish and is adorned with weaved paper cord. The natural wax oil treatment adds a touch of refinement, creating a harmonious blend of craftsmanship and design.
Whilst the Arkade Chair exemplifies Ditzel’s signature of elegant geometries and fondness for soft circular shapes, expressed with recurring arches, hence the name Arkade, the Danish word for Arcade, and a nod to classic architecture.
