Ingeborg lounge chair

The Ingeborg Collection comprises two charismatic designs by Flemming Lassen: a sofa and a lounge chair, each recently joined by a matching ottoman. Named after Lassen’s artist mother, Ingeborg Winding, the designs were originally conceived in 1940 for the annual Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition but never produced. Rediscovered in the archives, they have now been meticulously recreated from the original sketches.

Characteristically Lassen, the Ingeborg pieces are curvaceous, comfortable, and functional — defined by sculpted armrests that slope gently upwards, a buttoned backrest, and tapered solid oak legs. Deceptively spacious, both the lounge chair and sofa are as inviting to sit in as they are beautiful to look at, while the ottoman completes the collection with a versatile companion piece.

Available in a range of upholstery options — from sheepskin and bouclé to leather — with legs in natural oak or dark-stained oak, the Ingeborg Collection offers timeless comfort and craftsmanship for contemporary interiors.

Flemming Lassen

Established in Copenhagen in 2008, by Lassen celebrates and carries forward the legacy of renowned Danish architects and brothers, Flemming and Mogens Lassen. A renowned architect and designer, Flemming received many awards throughout his life.

He gained recognition early through his award-winning work with Arne Jacobsen. After meeting in school, the pair went on to work together and design the House of the Future, which established their careers in the world of design and architecture.

Following this, they also designed the Søllerød Town Hall including its interior, which was awarded the Wallpaper Design Award in 2012. Original designs from Flemming have become collector’s items with an original of The Tired Man holding the record for the most expensive chair sold at an auction in Denmark. Other designs include the recently released My Own Chair from 1938, brought to life again through by Lassen.
